Mobile app
An app for iOS and Android, straightforward and no frills, for your business or for that idea you've been mulling over.
Tell me about your projectThe two apps I use most are my own: Compras App, the shopping list we use at home every day, and IronLog, which I log my gym sessions with. Both are built with React Native, which means one codebase for iOS and Android: lower cost and less maintenance than two separate apps. We start with the smallest version that's useful to you and grow it based on what your users actually use.
What's included
- An iOS and Android app from a single codebase (React Native and Expo)
- Works offline where it needs to
- Real-time sync between users and devices
- Its own backend and database, or connected to what you already use
- Push notifications
- Publishing on the App Store and Google Play

- How I built Compras App: real-time end to endA shared shopping-list app I use at home every day: React Native, WebSockets and a backend deployed on my own NAS. Here's what I learned building the whole thing.
- IronLog: an offline-first gym app with no adsI wanted to track my gym routines and progress without apps full of ads, subscriptions or mandatory accounts. So I built my own.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an app or will a website do?
Often a website that works well on phones is enough. An app pays off if it'll be used daily, has to work offline or uses phone features. If it doesn't pay off for you, I'll tell you before we start.
Do I need two apps, one for iOS and one for Android?
No. With React Native there's a single codebase for both, which is how Compras App and IronLog are built.
How much does an app cost?
Mostly it depends on the number of screens and whether it needs its own backend. We start with a small first version at a fixed price and grow from there.
Will you publish it on the app stores?
Yes, I prepare the release on the App Store and Google Play. The developer accounts are in your name, so the app is yours.
